This cabin is located on an island on a private lot with 450 ft. of shoreline. The cove is protected from the wind. The one-bedroom cabin has a queen-sized bed, there is a queen-sized fold out couch in the family room. The apartment sized stove and refrigerator comes with a fully equipped kitchen, that include: coffeemaker, microwave, blender, toaster, dishes and cooking utensils, pots and pans, and a deep fryer. There is a 19' TV with built in DVD player and a cell phone signal booster just waiting for your hotspot- there is no WiFi. Since this has a lake water system, some drinking water is provided. The family room features an electric fireplace and a handcrafted table and chairs. There is plenty of storage in several large roomy closets. Sheets, and dishwashing linens are there for your use. You should bring your own towels and bath soap. The cabin has air conditioning. Outside on the deck is a propane grill and a table, additional chairs are usually down by the fire pit. A large woodpile is ready for your use! There is an outside outlet on the deck for those fishermen needing to charge their boat batteries. This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin has a gorgeous view of Daisy Bay. Nestled in the North Woods, on the shore of Lake Vermilion, its interior is homey and warm, and sliding doors open onto a deck that looks over the lake for a perfect view of the sunset. The kitchen is spacious and fully outfitted with a refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, toaster oven, and coffeemaker. You'll want to spend most of your time on the lake (it's a great spot for fishing, swimming, and boating), but for those of us who can't quite leave the rest of the world behind, there's cable tv and WiFi. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other has a full size bed. The sofa is a queen size pull-out. The driveway of this cabin can accommodate one boat trailer. There is a shore station next to the dock. Boats can be put in the lake at Moccasin Point or at Greubens, both of which are very nearby. There are stairs from the parking area to the cabin (see photo) and from the cabin down to the lake (thus the nickname Billy Goat Hill). So bring good knees! We do NOT have a fire pit, and do not allow outside fires. There is often a high risk of fire, as we are in the woods. We DO provide a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. The vista looking east takes in several smaller islands. McKinley Park, with its sandy beach, boat launch, and playground, is less than a mile down the road. The popular Northwood's town of Ely is just 20 minutes away. This cabin is perfectly situated for a quiet romantic getaway, a family retreat, or a weekend with friends. The cabin was built around 1970 and was remodeled in 2000; air conditioning was installed in 2015. The kitchen is new and the main living area is vaulted to provide a more panoramic view of the lake. There is a deck attached to the cabin which overlooks the lake, and a larger deck sitting right over the water. We have a wood-burning fireplace in the main living area and a gas fireplace in the walkout level, as well as a fire pit outside. There is a beautiful spot for a hammock and a side yard perfect for yard games.

Our Cabin is very old and quaint, but very clean and beautifully preserved. My wife cleans the cabin and washes all laundry after every rental. We will practice physical separation as necessary, hoping to provide the safest vacation possible. This two bedroom cabin is the perfect mix of modern amenities and up north retreat. Located at Roy's Last Resort in Tower, MN its part of our three cabin almost-resort on Lake Vermilion (Bayview Fireside is our other rental cabin on VRBO). It has a full bathroom, stocked kitchen, wifi, and flat screen TV. The whole place is adorned with knotty pine ceilings and walls. Best of all it has an incredible view of Lake Vermilion and a deck that feels as though your directly above the lake. The property has four 60' docks that are shared between the three cabins. There is 20 amp power available at the docks. Halfway down the stairs to the lake you'll find a second large deck that is perfect for watching the sunsets. Once at the lake there is a sandy beach, canoe, paddle boat, and firepit. Kids love the large yard behind the cabin where you'll find plenty of space for pickup games of soccer and baseball. Trees and woods on the rest of the lot provide almost unlimited places for exploration and playing hide and seek. If that isn't enough there is an ATV / Snowmobile / walking trail that runs parallel to our road and from there you can get almost anywhere in the area. There is an outdoor fire pit at the cabin and firewood is provided. (We call it The Honeymoon Cabin!) Nestled in the North Woods, on the shore of Lake Vermilion, its pine interior is homey and warm, and French doors open onto a deck that looks out over the lake. The kitchen is compact, but fully outfitted with a refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, toaster oven, and coffeemaker. NOTE: We no longer have a sleeper sofa in this cabin. You'll want to spend most of your time on the lake, but for those of us who can't quite leave the rest of the world behind, there's cable tv and WiFi. (Please note that the ancient TV pictured has been replaced!) The cabin itself has 1 bedroom with a queen bed. You can also access the charming bunkhouse on the shoreline, which sleeps 3. The bunkhouse has an enclosed chem toilet. There's also a cute outhouse up the hill. You'll also enjoy the sauna, which is shared with one other cabin. The driveway of this cabin can accommodate one boat trailer. (Getting a trailer in and out requires some care, as the gravel road is not wide.) Boats can be put in the lake at Moccasin Point or at Grubens Marina, both of which are very nearby. We do NOT have a fire pit, and do not allow outside fires. There is often a high risk of fire, as we are in the woods. We DO provide a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. There are loads of attractions and activities nearby-- the Vince Shute Bear Sanctuary, the International Wolf Center, Fortune Bay Casino, shopping in Ely, fishing guides, mailboat rides, hiking, tours of the Soudan Mine, and much more. Eagles Nest is a premier White Eagle Resort lake home rental. This two-story hand-hewn Swedish log cabin sits atop an exposed rock shoreline in a clearing overlooking the lake. The RV on Echo Point Landing is a modest, simple and clean 23 foot camper trailer situated on a 60X120 piece of land on Big Bay, Lake Vermilion (Tower end). Swim and fish from the 40 foot dock with electricity, and launch your boat from our landing on Lake Vermilion. The RV has a full bed bedroom, a sofa sleeper, a dining table that drops converts to form another single bed. The RV has a toilet, shower, small tub, kitchen, refrigerator, range, oven, microwave oven, cooking and serving dishes. On the land you will find a private boat launch, a fire pit, an 8X9 elevated screen house, and of course 24/7 access to one of the best fishing lakes in Minnesota; Lake Vermilion. [It should be noted that the water in the RV is drawn directly from Lake Vermilion].

There are two cabins on this property and they may not be rented separately. The main cabin is a 2 bedroom, 3/4 bath with large open livingroom with hearth fire place. The main cabin has a full kitchen with everything you need to cook and serve meals and table seating for 6. There is also a large screened in porch with glass table seating for 6 overlooking the beach, lake and views to the nearby island. The second, or guest cabin, is up a short set of steps. It has two bedrooms, 3/4 bath, another full kitchen and living room. Also has a large screened in porch with its own porch-swing. It has a delightful view of the lake and the 70 foot pines surrounding the picturesque log cabin and rock wall. Included in the rental are the use of two kayaks and a rowboat. There is an outboard motor boat outfitter at the nearby resort. The public landing is close and you can bring your own boat and shelter it in the drive in 'over the water boat house' where elctrical outlets are available for recharging batteries for trolling motors. There is a countertop and sink in the garage for cleaning fish inside away from the bugs. Lake Vermilion is a 40,000+ acre lake with over 365 islands. The lake is stocked with Walleye, Northern Pike, Small and Large mouth Bass, black Crappies, Sun fish and Perch. There are also large Muskelunge for the determined sportsman. There are many sites on the water to visit, including remote islands, resorts, restaurants and even a casino ( although it is on the other side of the lake 45 miles away).
